Christopher Shays to be Cup-of-Tea Speaker on July 9th

The Quiet Corner Tea Party Patriots will host Christopher Shays as this month’s featured speaker at our monthly “Cup-of-Tea” series of public lectures and discussion events.

Christopher Shays is a former member of the United States House of Representatives representing Connecticut’s 4th District, and is currently a candidate in the 2012 elections for the Connecticut Senate seat now held by Senator Joe Lieberman.  He faces Linda McMahon in the GOP Primary on August 14th.

In his previous service as a member of the House, Christopher was a senior member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, as well as the Budget, Financial Services, and Homeland Security Committees.  He chaired the House Oversight Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats, and International Relations, which played a major role following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.  Shays was the only Republican congressman elected from New England in the 2006 elections.  (http://www.shaysforussenate.com/about/)

Chris will discuss his political background, his take on current issues, and the differences between himself and primary opponent Linda McMahon at our next meeting.

Should you support Chris?  Attend our next meeting to find out!  This month’s Cup-of-Tea will be a great opportunity to meet Chris, hear his views, ask questions, and decide whether he warrants your vote.

Please Join us at the Quiet Corner Tea Party Patriots monthly “Cup-of-Tea” event featuring Christopher Shays on Monday, July 9, 2012.  The event will begin at 7:00pm in the Tea Room (upstairs) at Victoria Station Cafe, 91 Main Street, in Putnam, CT.

Hope to see you there!

    – AWESOME JOB and GREAT choice of frbiac!!! I absolutely LOVE it! I was planning to mock one up myself for my master bedroom until I found a near-new West Elm upholstered headboard on Craigslist for only $85! Wasn’t sure that I could make one for much less, so I snagged it! LOVE yours though and cannot wait to make one for my guest bedroom!
