Malloy Lies to Nation on CNN; CT Gun Maker Speaks the Truth
“When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” – attributed to Socrates
In an interview with CNN, Governor Malloy demeans and slanders the gun industry painting them as irresponsible businessmen with no regard for public safety. You could not get farther from the truth.
Governor Malloy stated “What this is about is the ability of the gun industry to sell as many guns to as many people as possible even if they’re deranged, even if they are mentally ill, even if they have a criminal record”.
Turns out, this is an absolute and outright lie, and rightfully this does not sit well with the gun industry in Connecticut who have many suitors for their business with the passage of SB 1160.
The link below is a letter that Joseph Bartozzi, Senior VP and General Counsel for Massberg & Sons Inc., the oldest firearms manufacturer in America, sent to Governor Malloy on behalf of his 270 employees exposing our Governor’s lies, and character as a man and leader of our state.
Bravo Mr. Bartozzi. We need respected business leaders, men like you to speak up, and back at the tyranny of our government.
So, best I can tell, our Governor can go on national TV, malign and lie about an industry with significant ties to Connecticut and no one appears evenly mildly concerned. Only in politics can lying be considered routine, rewarded and considered an art. Then again, that might describe many, just not with the public trust using the public’s funds.
Governor Malloy is held accountable by no one. None of our CT representatives seem to understand or care that lying about good and honest people is not a virtue or that people should be held accountable for lying? I’m hearing crickets from our representatives, and if I’m not looking in the right spot, that’s my point.
Certainly accountability is not coming from our media, nor the Democrat’s beholden to Dannel, Don, and Brandan (the GOP is outnumbered 2-1 in the GA), and we are certainly not getting it from the GOP leadership of Mckinney, Cafero, and Labriola, two of which have dreams of being governor.
What passes for leadership nowadays is stunning and disappointing.
Mr. Bartozzi exposes the lies offered by our Governor. His letter to our Governor is worth the two minute read. You decide if our Governor is telling the truth after reading his letter. I think not.
